Northrop Grumman is offering an internship opportunity through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning service members to gain civilian work experience as an Aircraft Mechanic. The program provides on-the-job training and aims to potentially lead to full-time employment. Participants will support aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs in a classified environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Must obtain and maintain qualifications/certifications as directed by the supervisor to include but not limited to; aircraft inspections, structures, electrical, low observables, hydraulic couplings, window replacement, engine/tailpipe removal/installation.
  2. Perform a variety of inspections/operations such as Phase, HPOs, remove/install aircraft engines/tailpipe, electrical wiring, coaxial cables and low observables.
  3. Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engines systems.
  4. Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.
  5. Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions to properly identify and correct problems in minimum time.
