Driveline Axle Supervisor

Supervise a team of Design and Release Engineers delivering all internally designed and manufactured axle systems for Ford, covering design engineering, validation, launch, and ongoing production quality. Requires strong Driveline skills and manufacturing experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage team of 7-10 engineers, delivering all in-house engineered axle systems.
  2. Key technical hardware oversight of the Axle system, including close interface with the calibration, Transmission, NVH, and chassis organizations.
  3. Responsible for program delivery of Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT) for the axle commodity.
  4. Lead new axle development in the form of “unit” programs, in which you will have separate engineering gateways up-front that support forward model vehicle programs.
  5. You will interact directly with our in-house Axle manufacturing teams, which will include close interface with new design developments, ongoing production concerns, and in-field quality metrics.

Skills

Required

  • Mechanical Engineering or related field degree
  • Driveline systems and components experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of experience with Driveline systems and components experience and knowledge
  • 4+ years of experience with plant, manufacturing, launch experience, tooling knowledge, experience in all phases of product development
