Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced Avionics Aircraft Mechanics for the E-6B aircraft maintenance program in Lake Charles, LA. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing aircraft mechanical and electrical components, interpreting technical data, and performing various inspections. This role requires a thorough knowledge of aircraft systems and specialized tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Use your thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
  2. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.
  3. Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  4. Use your detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required.
  5. Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, written instructions, etc.
