This role focuses on the pre-silicon validation of CPU logic, developing verification plans, test benches, and simulation models to ensure design specifications are met. It involves debugging, root-causing issues, and collaborating with architects and developers to improve verification of complex features. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering with knowledge of computer system architecture and digital logic design.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs functional verification of CPU logic to ensure design will meet specification requirements.
  2. Develops IP verification plans, test benches, and the verification environment to ensure coverage to confirm to CPU microarchitecture specifications.
  3. Executes verification plans and defines and runs system simulation models to verify the design, analyze power and timing, and uncover bugs.
  4. Replicates, root causes, and debugs issues in the presilicon environment.
  5. Finds and implements corrective measures to resolve failing tests.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Knowledge of Computer System Architecture
  • Knowledge in digital logic design, pre-silicon or post-silicon validation
  • Experience in tools and methodologies for pre-silicon verification/logic design
  • System Verilog
  • PERL/C/C++ programming
  • Strong analyzing and debugging skill
  • Creative in problem solving
