This role is for a Medical Advisor in the Oncology department at Pfizer in Shanghai, China. The primary responsibilities include managing medical activities, ensuring scientific validity and ethics, enhancing local data generation, managing product lifecycle from a medical perspective, evaluating new products and research programs, developing post-marketing research strategies, providing direction for Phase IV studies, designing and managing local Non-interventional Studies (NIS), developing and implementing medical strategy, developing and implementing publication plans, evaluating Investigator-Initiated research proposals, providing medical input on business decisions, co-developing product strategy and messaging with marketing, providing medical support for marketing activities, developing medical insight documents for business partners, reviewing and approving local standard response letters to HCPs, developing training programs for sales force, supporting drug registration activities (labeling, medical justification, feasibility evaluation, site selection, protocol synopsis, study report), academic communication with KOLs and medical societies, crisis management, providing expert opinion in safety events management, and ensuring medical compliance. The role requires a clinical medicine background, master's degree or above, 3 years of clinical practice in Tier 3 hospitals or medical affairs experience, and fluency in English.

What you'd actually do

  1. To advise and manage medical related activities in all operations of company with medical expertise and company policies, with the objective of ensuring the scientific validity and the ethics of operations.
  2. Enhance local data generation and Product life-cycle management from medical perspective to maximize product’s value and long term development
  3. As a key partner to provide medical input on business decision making
  4. Develop sale force’s medical capability through training program design, Lecture Delivery and periodic medical knowledge update in different settings through various channel
  5. Support Drug Registration Activities

Required

  • Therapeutic area knowledge: familiar with the disease knowledge and clinical practice of the therapeutic area
  • Language: Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
