Edge Infrastructure Engineer

Palantir is seeking an Edge Infrastructure Engineer to build, operate, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable services for their production infrastructure. This role involves deep focus on low-level systems, including the deployment and management of physical bare metal servers in traditional data centers and edge environments, as well as physical network engineering. The engineer will also be responsible for building and scaling new environments in a forward-deployed capacity, automating processes, and collaborating with product teams on requirements and SLOs for software deployment in air-gapped environments. Experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, server hardware, and Linux administration is valued.

What you'd actually do

  1. Maintaining availability of cloud & physical Kubernetes servers that power the Palantir platform in air-gapped production environments.
  2. Design, deploy, and operate infrastructure to support customer & product requirements via modern orchestration & monitoring platforms.
  3. Collaborate closely with product teams on requirements & SLOs for deploying software into air-gapped environments.
  4. Identifying, troubleshooting, and solving network & systems issues.
  5. Scripting to automate away routine operational tasks.
