Edrive Pcb Layout and Validation Engineer

Ford Ford · Auto · Dearborn, MI +1 · PD Operations and Quality

eDrive PCB Layout and Validation Engineer responsible for designing PCB layouts for traction inverter applications, validating designs through analysis, simulation, and physical testing. This includes capturing requirements, optimizing layout for signal/power integrity and thermal management, creating documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leading complex layout projects
  2. Capture the PCB design requirement through electrical circuit design review and mechanical design review.
  3. Design the PCB layout considering thermal management, signal routing, and mechanical constraints. Optimizing the layout for signal integrity, power integrity, and impedance control.
  4. Work with cross functional product development teams in supporting product development.
  5. Verifying the layout meets electrical and manufacturing specifications using automated design rules.

Skills
