This role is for a Market Access Manager at Pfizer, focusing on developing and executing market access strategies for medicines in specific regions of China. Responsibilities include project management, pricing and reimbursement strategy, collaboration with health economic staff, training stakeholders, and supporting business growth. The role requires experience in market access, pricing, and reimbursement, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel. Experience with AI tools is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead access strategy in broad markets, direct customized strategies for specific regions, and manage the contract development lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
  2. Collaborate with Health Economic staff to assess the economic impact of therapies and products on payers, including government entities.
  3. Deliver comprehensive training programs to a diverse range of stakeholders, including sales force, physicians, and hospital personnel.
  4. Support business growth strategies, benchmark market access of competitors’ products, and ensure Pfizer products' inclusion in hospital formularies by understanding healthcare/reimbursement policy.
  5. Utilize judgment and experience to become a resource for others and develop reimbursement strategies to secure coverage, coding, and payment.

Skills

Required

  • BA/BS with at least 4 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 2 years of experience or PhD/JD with any years of experience or associate's degree with at least 8 years of experience or high School Diploma (or Equivalent) with at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in market access, pricing, and reimbursement
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, including products and the dynamics of the "in and off" patent market
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, formulas, and working with large data files
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
