Northrop Grumman is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Professional with a focus on Industrial Hygiene and Safety. This role involves implementing EHS programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting safety in design, conducting audits and sampling, and mitigating risks. The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, experience in industrial hygiene and safety programs, and a Secret Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Reviews and interprets existing and proposed EHS regulations to determine applicability and impact for sites. Assists with implementation of programs to comply.
  2. Partners with engineers, technicians, and management to support the integration of EHS into the design of new or altered processes, operations and building construction projects.
  3. Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation.
  4. Completes audits, IH sampling, ergonomic assessments, and assists in pollution prevention activities.
  5. Develops, implements, and maintains EHS programs for manufacturing, labs, and office buildings to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s (BA or BS) degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or a related field
  • 2 or more years of experience (Level 2) or 5 or more years of experience (Level 3)
  • Master of Science (MS) in the same disciplines with 1 or more years of experience (Level 2) or 3 or more years of experience (Level 3)
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and control occupational exposures through industrial hygiene sampling, analysis, and risk reduction measures
  • Experience leading/managing projects or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience preparing or supporting regulatory inspections
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
