EHS Technician III role focused on assisting with team leadership, coordinating daily operations, and providing training support within a Caterpillar warehouse/distribution facility. Responsibilities include maintaining cooperative team relationships, following training schedules, performing warehousing functions, and tracking safety metrics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist the Section Manager and Onboarding Training Team Leader in leading Team members, coordinating and supporting workflow of day-to-day operation of area; promoting cooperative team relationships, establishing and maintaining priorities, following training schedule, staying on tasks, and ensuring educational opportunities are created.
  2. Occasionally performing various warehousing functions such as 5S, housekeeping, audits, etc., at a Caterpillar warehouse/distribution facility.
  3. Will perform on-the-job department specific training utilizing standard work training material.
  4. Provide follow-up training after new associates or agency workers have been through the initial basic training period.
  5. Provide support for the Onboarding Training Team Leader to ensure that cross-training and/or new associate/agency workers have been properly introduced and trained in standard work operations for their specific department.

  • Experience in creating and maintaining documentation and reports.

Nice to have

  • Experience in training development and facilitation is a plus.
  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing or logistics operation
