Boeing is seeking an Electrical Cabin and Network System Design Engineer to join their Integrated Cabin & Cargo Systems team. The role involves defining and integrating advanced electrical systems for commercial aircraft, focusing on interior lighting, passenger address systems, seatback video, passenger connectivity, in-flight entertainment, and more. Responsibilities include developing system requirements, designing hardware and software, testing and validation, and supporting supplier performance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  2. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications
  3. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  4. Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  5. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • Experience working in an electrical design engineering environment (with emphasis on electronic and electrical systems design and analysis).

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Flight Management Systems
  • Pilot’s license and/or experience working in the flight deck
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
