Electrical Engineer position supporting integration of Command and Control systems, including radios, networks, antennas, and power equipment for Department of Defense projects. Responsibilities include cable harness design, power analysis, interconnect diagrams, and research, development, design, and testing of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.

What you'd actually do

  1. design engineering for integration of Command and Control systems, such as radios, networks, antennas, and power equipment, in support of Department of Defense projects.
  2. interact with production, program management, service providers, equipment suppliers, and customers.
  3. cable harnesses design, power analysis, and interconnect diagrams for COTS and GFE equipment.
  4. research, development, design, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer science, computer engineering or related STEM degree
  • Minimum 2 years' experience (Level 2) in electrical design experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio
  • Ability to support periodic travel to customer sites in the continental United States.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Secret Security Clearance required day 1.

  • AutoCAD, NX, Cameo (or other MSBE Software)
  • Presenting Skills or Powerpoint
  • Willingness to learn and to be trained
  • Experience in a production environment
  • Experience using PLM/PDM and MRP Systems
