Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, testing, and implementing electrical systems and components for autonomous vessels. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop state-of-the-art electrical solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible partner with core electrical design engineering and manufacturing teams through product development and production to improve product function and reliability by applying best practices to designs and establishing repeatable process control.
  2. Support new product development by prototyping early development hardware to learn the design limitations.
  3. Execute on design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
  4. Resolve and analyze manufacturing discrepancies while interfacing with the quality team (resolving issues for design, fabrication, and assembly).
  5. Participate in design reviews internally and with suppliers and customers.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven understanding of electrical engineering principles, including design integrations into complex systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with a strong drive for innovation and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

  • Experience in wire harnessing, radios, transmissions, and integrating systems is a plus
  • Experience in designing electrical systems for complex projects, preferably in the automotive, maritime or defense industry.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electrical systems, such as IEEE, IEC, and ABS is a plus
  • Familiarity with programming languages and software development practices is a plus.
