Electrical Engineer role focused on managing and supporting electrical and controls systems for a manufacturing facility, including asset lifecycle management, troubleshooting, project execution, and contractor supervision. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of industry experience, with preferred experience in the regulated pharma/biotech industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and support electrical asset lifecycle including: Scoping, Budgeting, Approval, Planning, Execution, and Turnover.
  2. Working hands on to investigate, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical equipment, controls and instruments and instrumentation systems failures as needed.
  3. Work with Equipment OEM’s and suppliers to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  4. Ensure assigned project work is completed on-time and on budget.
  5. Directly supervise contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, compliantly to SOP’s and regulations, and company policies.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in an electrical engineering role
  • Controls experience VFDs, controllers for AHUs, freezers and manufacturing skids, and control panel wiring
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, electrical plans, or circuit diagrams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead electrical aspect of complex capital projects and rapid troubleshooting of existing systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Control of Hazardous Energy such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)

Nice to have

  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in the regulated pharma or biotech industry
  • Electrical distribution expertise, including electrical switchgear and distribution, UPS systems and emergency generators
  • Knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices
