Electrical and Test Engineer to serve as an Automated Test Equipment Engineer for the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) program. Responsibilities include designing automated test equipment, developing documentation, hardware integration, validation testing, and troubleshooting. The role also involves creating test equipment design strategies and supporting fielded equipment over its lifecycle. Researching emerging technologies and performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) are also key duties. Requires experience with manual or automated test devices, power or analog electronics testing, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field. Experience with C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB, Lab-View, Test-Stand, and CAD tools is preferred. A U.S. Security Clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support design of automated test equipment, development of engineering documentation, and hardware fabrication, integration, and validation testing.
  2. Develop, document, and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements according to customer desires and contract requirements.
  3. Create and implement overall Test Equipment Design strategies.
  4. Review and apply real-time test anomaly troubleshooting and resolution of issues encountered during hardware validation and verification testing.
  5. Support fielded test equipment hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience setting up equipment and performing tests on various products and assemblies using manual or automated test devices.
  • Hands-on lab experience with power or analog electronics testing or test methodology.
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • Subject Matter Expert in electrical design with proven previous test equipment design experience.
  • Experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB.
  • Experience with National Instrument’s Lab-View and Test-Stand software.
  • Experience with Unigraphics, Creo or other drafting CAD tools.
  • Experience utilizing lab electronic testing tools (Digital Multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Function Generators, ...).
  • Active Security Clearance.
