Electrical Engineer II - Effector Guidance Systems role at RTX in Tucson, AZ. What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
  2. Qualified candidates must have experience with digital, analog and/or RF testing and experience debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems.
  3. Knowledge of RF / microwave devices preferred.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
  • minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant experience
  • Experience with any of the following: RF, analog, digital, and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and / or digital signal processing.
  • Electronics circuit troubleshooting and/or failure investigation

Nice to have

  • Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, or electronic subsystem; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, printed circuit board fabrication, circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with electrical engineering design tools such as: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), Advanced Design System (ADS),
  • Experience or working knowledge of electronics test equipment such as: Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, network analyzer, and Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Test problem investigation experience
  • Experience in applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements.
  • Experience in resolving production issues with suppliers and sub-tier suppliers.
  • Technical writing and formal presentation experience
  • Knowledge of RF / microwave devices
