Electrical Engineer, Manufacturing Test

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Manufacturing : Manufacturing Engineering : Production Test

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking an Electrical Engineer for their Manufacturing Test team. The role involves designing and building complex systems and PCBA platforms for product testing, data acquisition, and physical layer interfaces using FPGA, MCU, and off-the-shelf equipment. Responsibilities include designing circuits, integrating designs into PDM systems, sourcing PCB assemblies, architecting test fixtures, building internal libraries for test circuits, and bringing up/debugging circuits and interfaces. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering, 5+ years of experience in product design for manufacturing, expertise in PCBA design, and familiarity with electronics test equipment and PLM systems. Scripting with Python and FPGA experience are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build things that test things. Design Circuits and Schematics that will be built into test automation platforms.
  2. Integrate your designs into Anduril’s PDM systems. You will follow the same process for component design and release that our product design teams use.
  3. Design and source PCB Assemblies with varying complexity - from FPGA based data acquisition boards, to MCU platform data interfaces, breakout boards, wiring harnesses, or peripheral modules.
  4. Architect and source circuit board test fixtures, integrating your designs with internally developed and off-the-shelf data acquisition equipment.
  5. Build internal library for test circuit for data acquisition, leverage your expertise for DFM / DFT.
  6. Bring up, Debug, and Characterize circuits, low speed interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.) and high speed signals (RF, memory, USB).
