Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Principal Electrical Engineer to support the Sentinel program. The role involves electrical system design, integration, verification, and analysis for military applications, including research, evaluation, and testing of electrical systems. Requires a Secret clearance and experience with CAD and MBSE tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. May perform research, evaluation, and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical systems, cables, connectors, circuit card assemblies, power systems, computer systems, test equipment, and more.
  2. May create, assess, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering drawings
  3. May apply research to the planning, design, development, simulation and testing of electrical systems for use in military applications.
  4. Support analysis at all levels of total weapon system product lifecycle to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation and maintenance.
  5. Responsible for supporting the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions as well as the translation of customer requirements into electrical design specifications.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • root-cause analysis (RCA)
  • failure modes analysis (FMA)
  • CAD design tools (i.e. NX, Teamcenter, CATIA, Capital, etc.)
  • MBSE tools (ie DOORs, Cameo)

Nice to have

  • Past/Active employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems
  • schematic design tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Zuken, etc.)
  • networking and system architecture
  • electro-mechanical or instrumentation system development and design
  • Cable/harness design experience
