Electrical Systems Integration Engineer – Head Subsystem

Figure AI Figure AI · Robotics · HQ · Systems Integration & Test

Figure AI is an AI robotics company building humanoid robots. This role focuses on the electrical systems integration of the robot's head subsystem, from early prototypes to production. Responsibilities include leading electrical bring-up, system integration, and validation of various interfaces, power delivery, signal integrity, and thermal performance. The role requires debugging complex cross-disciplinary issues and documenting procedures. Experience with embedded systems, high-speed interfaces, and Python for automation is necessary.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead electrical bring-up and system integration of the head subsystem across embedded compute, power regulation, sensing, display, audio, and communication interfaces.
  2. Plan and execute subsystem and system-level validation of power delivery, high-speed interfaces (USB, DisplayPort, MIPI, PCIe, Ethernet, SGMII), RF, and thermal performance.
  3. Develop and execute electrical validation plans covering power integrity, signal integrity, EMI susceptibility, and thermal behavior.
  4. Debug complex cross-disciplinary issues across hardware, firmware, and software using telemetry, oscilloscopes, DAQs, logic analyzers, and other lab instrumentation.
  5. Drive integration of power architectures, grounding strategies, and interface definitions to ensure reliable operation in a compact, high-density electromechanical assembly.
