Electrical Test Engineer

Oura Oura · Consumer · San Diego, CA +1 · Hardware

Oura is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure and test systems for product development and manufacturing. This role involves developing tests using Python, interfacing with hardware communication protocols, supporting component-level testing, and translating specifications into test cases. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and a strong understanding of hardware communication interfaces.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and maintain manufacturing and development tests using Python, including test automation, data collection, and result validation
  2. Act as a technical bridge between product engineering and manufacturing, ensuring alignment from development through production..
  3. Implement test logic that interfaces with hardware communication protocols such as UART and BLE.
  4. Build and maintain tooling that supports engineers’ development, validation, and debug workflows
  5. Support the handoff of test systems and tooling from engineering to manufacturing, including documentation, stabilization, and scaling.
