Electrical Test Engineer

Electrical Test Engineer to support development and execution of electrical test plans across vehicle and subsystem programs. Responsibilities include executing verification activities, developing and maintaining automated test equipment (ATE), and cross-functional collaboration to ensure electrical designs are validated.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute structured test plans in accordance with the engineering design process (requirements → design → verification → validation).
  2. Assist in the design, build, and maintenance of automated test equipment for PCBAs, harnesses, power systems, and integrated assemblies.
  3. Work closely with electrical, mechanical, firmware, systems, and manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are testable and properly validated.
  4. Maintain accurate and organized test documentation and version control.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in electrical test engineering, hardware validation, or related role.
  • Working knowledge of the engineering design lifecycle and verification processes.
  • Experience using electrical lab instrumentation and measurement techniques.
  • Experience developing or maintaining automated test scripts (Python, LabVIEW, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across analog, digital, and power electronics systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, defense, maritime, or ruggedized hardware.
  • Familiarity with power systems, battery systems, or embedded hardware.
  • Exposure to manufacturing test or DFM/DFT principles.
  • Experience with requirements traceability and structured test documentation.
  • Experience working in fast-paced product development environments.
