Electrical Validation - Lpddr5 and Ddr5

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Bangalore, India · Engineering

This role focuses on electrical validation for LPDDR5 and DDR5 memory interfaces and HSIO interfaces like PCIe and Ethernet. The engineer will define requirements, develop validation plans, conduct hands-on measurements using lab equipment, debug Post-Si electrical issues, and ensure compliance and certification for these interfaces. Experience with memory standards, programming/scripting, and system architecture is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and develop IO electrical validation requirements and test coverages to ensure compliance and success at the platform level for Memory and HSIO interfaces like PCIe , Etherntet
  2. Develop and Execute comprehensive validation plans, as per schedules by integrating inputs from various engineering and Contract workers
  3. Conduct hands-on measurement and characterization of Post-Si IO electrical interfaces using advanced lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA, and more.
  4. Plan and execute SI/PI validation for next-generation interconnects (PCIe Gen6/7, 224G Ethernet, optical/copper channels, Memory - LPDDR5/6 , DDR5 , DIMM technologies)
  5. Own and drive the debugging of Post-Si electrical issues, collaborating with hardware, BIOS, firmware, and OS teams to recommend effective solutions.
