xAI is seeking skilled Electricians to install, maintain, and commission electrical systems for their data centers. This hands-on role involves working with high-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution, backup power, grounding, and lighting in a fast-paced environment where uptime and safety are critical. The ideal candidate is a Journeyman Electrician with 2+ years of experience in industrial or mission-critical settings.

What you'd actually do

  1. Install, terminate, and test electrical systems including underground duct banks, conduits, cable pulling, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, busways, and grounding.
  2. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems.
  3. Support commissioning activities: point-to-point checks, functional testing, megger testing, and system energization.
  4. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
  5. Ensure full compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and xAI safety & quality standards (including LOTO and arc flash protocols).

Skills

Required

  • Journeyman Electrician license
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial, commercial, or mission-critical electrical work
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V
  • Proficiency with test equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
  • Current OSHA 10/30 training

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments with PPE

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of PLC/controls, SCADA, or variable frequency drives
