What you'd actually do

  1. Successful candidate will work independently to perform a wide range of electrical tasks.
  2. Repair and maintain all industrial plant electrical equipment, including repairing/installing general power/lighting, repairing various industrial machinery (ovens, CNC machines, HVAC’s, fire system controls, fiber placement machines, robot controls, PLC’s, facility management controls, etc.),
  3. Repairing 7.2kV/34.5kV distribution lines, repairing boiler controls, and preventive maintenance on all items listed.
  4. Candidate must be flexible in accepting additional duties as assigned by supervision
  5. Support management strategies and plans, promote safety and health, understand business/production needs and expectations, perform to the highest level of quality, and communicate effectively.

Skills

Required

  • Journeyman electrician license or a 2 year accredited technical school
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Ability to work any shift
  • 3-year industrial electrical experience
  • Thorough understanding of electronics (SCR’s, solid state devices, AC/DC motors and controllers, ladder and relay logic, PLCs, weigh systems, temperature measurement systems, control systems, refrigeration controls)
  • Ability to safely work with high voltage (480 VAC and 7200 VAC) power distribution systems

Nice to have

  • Journeyman electrician license with field experience
  • Five years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
