What you'd actually do

  1. Own hardware design from initial requirements through handoff to full production.
  2. Work on mechanical designs that involve the tight integration of complex thermal solutions, RF hardware, PCBAs, and cabling.
  3. Prototype rapidly in order to find issues quickly and develop a final product on compressed timelines.
  4. Support critical customer facing hardware demonstrations and use these interactions to better understand the customers’ requirements.
  5. Travel to test sites as needed.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience
  • BSME, MS or PhD in a related engineering field
  • CAD skills
  • high quality engineering drawings
  • Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills
  • root-cause analysis
  • integration of PCBAs and other electronics into a mechanical system
  • U.S. Secret security clearance

  • Solidworks/NX/Teamcenter
