This role is for an Electronic Maintenance Infrastructure Technician at Boeing, responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, upgrades, and modification of various facility equipment and systems. The technician will use technical knowledge to diagnose and correct malfunctions, test and calibrate systems, and work with other departments to analyze and recommend improvements. The position requires experience in electronics or electrical troubleshooting, inspection and testing of fire protection equipment, and willingness to work any shift and at heights. Experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, and communication protocols is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Use technical knowledge, existing procedures (or develop new procedures), and internal/external resources to diagnose and correct equipment or system malfunctions
  2. Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet compliance requirements
  3. Use various types of computing systems or electronic/electrical test equipment to test accuracy of electronic/electrical components/systems
  4. Work with Management, Engineering, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations to analyze and make recommendations on facility and equipment design requirements, capability and improvements

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in electronics or electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience conducting inspection & testing of fire protection equipment (Building Sprinkler Systems, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm Systems, Code/Policy violations, etc.)
  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as needed
  • Willing to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level with appropriate safety gear
  • Must be able to pass Fall Protection Training

Nice to have

  • Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Experience troubleshooting AC and DC drives, VFDs, servo systems, and/or fire panels
  • Troubleshoot communication protocols to enable transmission and receipt of information between various systems to analyze networks
  • Utilize open computing architecture to troubleshoot within multiple integrated systems in order to determine appropriate repair
