Electronic Technician 2/3 supporting the Sentinel Program at Northrop Grumman, responsible for laboratory test plans, hardware installation/removal, cable manufacturing, troubleshooting, fixture construction, equipment maintenance, and data collection. Requires a Secret security clearance and electronics training.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support CSIL Lab Operations laboratory test plans. This includes but is not limited to; installation/removal of hardware and line replaceable units (LRU), building to drawings, executing work orders, manufacturing lab cables and harnesses, troubleshooting, document and report defects as required, etc.
  2. Work with Management, Lab Operations, and Designers to ensure the lab is built and maintained to the correct specifications needed for formal test and daily lab operations.
  3. Work with lab management to ensure the CSIL laboratory is compliant with all security, safety, SDS, and other program directives.
  4. Construct simple test fixtures and perform minor repairs or modifications to test fixtures such as drilling and tapping holes, and wiring and soldering components and component parts as directed by engineer or higher classified personnel.
  5. Troubleshoot and maintain electronic systems including repair and setup of video, audio, process controllers, test equipment, and data acquisition systems.

Skills

Required

  • Electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience (for Level 2)
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience (for Level 3)
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval
  • Knowledge of electronic principles
  • Ability to wire and assemble circuits
  • Understand the operation of basic test equipment
  • Prepare and maintain necessary reports and records
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended time periods
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work overtime
