Electronic Systems Technician Level 3 at Northrop Grumman responsible for corrective maintenance work orders, troubleshooting electronic and electrical equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. The role involves working on various systems from handheld devices to large-scale automated processes and CNC equipment, often in high-stress, time-critical situations. Requires knowledge of electronics and electrical theory, Ohm's Law, and basic troubleshooting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Respond to corrective maintenance work orders input through Maximo.
  2. Use troubleshooting skills to fix equipment.
  3. Act with urgency and leverage other crafts and supervision when needed.
  4. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment before due dates.
  5. Order parts and document work.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Knowledge of electronics and electrical theory.
  • Ohm’s Law
  • Basic Troubleshooting

Nice to have

  • Applied Associate’s Degree or BS degree in electronics or technology
  • Pristine knowledge of LOTO protocols
  • Electrical controls and process troubleshooting
  • PLC wiring, installation, basic programming/comms, & troubleshooting
  • VFD Set up, installation, troubleshooting
  • Circuit board basic troubleshooting
  • Source, simulate, measure, troubleshoot 4-20 & 0-10 signals
  • HART Protocol via Fluke 754 and/or open-source programs via computers
  • RTDs and TC simulation and troubleshooting
  • 0-24VDC, 120AC, 480AC competence and troubleshooting
  • 5S and quality management systems are a plus
  • Fire alarm system knowledge
  • Radio equipment competency
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Hydraulics & pneumatics, CNC equipment, and/or X-ray equipment are a plus
