Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronic Warfare Engineer to join their team in Melbourne, FL. The role involves developing, integrating, and testing electronic warfare subsystems for airborne platforms, including requirements analysis, functional and performance analysis, and collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders. A Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support development and integration of electronic warfare subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives
  2. Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation, translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
  3. Perform MBSE and capturing requirements, interfaces, behaviors, structures and parametric
  4. Performing functional and performance analyses
  5. Conducting detailed trade studies

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands)
  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing RF equipment for airborne platforms
  • Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated Secret clearance

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing EW or Radar subsystems for airborne platforms
  • Experience with RF antenna and component design and performance analysis
  • Experience in decomposing, deriving, allocating and tracing requirements from system to component level
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML tools
  • Experience in performance analysis using MATLAB and Excel or similar tools
  • Experience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives
  • Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience in supplier/subcontract management
  • Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work
