Electronics Assembler - 4th Shift

This role involves assembling, wiring, soldering, and maintaining electrical/electronic and mechanical systems according to schematics and blueprints. It requires experience in circuit card assembly, using various tools, and working in demanding physical environments. The position is for an Electronics Assembler on a 4th shift at Northrop Grumman.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan, lay out, assemble, wire, solder, repair, and maintain electrical/electronic, mechanical, antenna, and trailer systems
  2. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering drawings to perform point-to-point assembly
  3. Assemble and disassemble production or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to manufacturing, engineering, and quality specifications
  4. Perform wiring using harness boards, tie-in cables, and harnesses; install mechanical parts, components, and fasteners as specified
  5. Perform circuit card assembly, repair, and soldering of components, including large masses of wires in confined spaces

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or recognized equivalent (GED) with 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing Mechanical Assembly
  • Experience working on Circuit Card assembly
  • Experience reading and working from schematics and drawings to make initial layouts
  • Experience using hand and/or power tools
  • Experience and ability to successfully complete Basic Solder Certification, Visual Acuity Test, and in-house skills training
  • Experience working in tight spaces that require a high level of attention to detail and uncompromised quality
  • Experience and ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Experience lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs
  • Experience and willingness to work in adverse conditions
  • Willingness to work overtime when required to meet program deadlines
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
