This role is for an Electronics Components Sourcing Leader at RTX, a defense company. The primary responsibility is managing a $1.5 billion commodity spend, developing commodity strategies, and driving savings capture by improving supply base capabilities and performance. The role involves improving on-time performance and reducing time to market through source selection and supply chain implementation, with a focus on embedded materials and supplier agreements.

What you'd actually do

  1. managing the Components and Distribution commodity within RTX which has over $1.5 Billion in annual spend
  2. developing Commodity Strategies that establish and maintain a supply base with the capabilities, capacity and performance needed to execute on RTX's significant growth over the next five years
  3. improving productivity by leveraging Raytheon's spend with Collins BU as part of OneRTX for the Components and Distribution commodity within RTX and will be the primary driving force behind savings capture
  4. developing in and implementing approaches that improve on-time performance and reduce time to market through source selection, as well as supply chain program implementation down to the sub-tier(s) that support Component manufacturers, in collaboration with their Electronics teammates, while gaining additional visibility to the embedded material that support the CMs
  5. assist Electronics in improving LTA/MTA coverage for our suppliers and RTX

  • Knowledge of the defense industry
  • FAR/DFAR compliance requirements
  • LTA/MTA documentation requirements in a defense contractor
  • negotiations experience
  • prior in-depth knowledge of Electronic products and go-to-market approaches
  • breadth of experience across the product lifecycle
  • contract type knowledge

  • Prior experience and leadership of other supply chain functional areas
  • Acquisition or Commodity experience
