This role focuses on developing and executing strategies for electronics components sourcing within the defense industry, ensuring supply chain robustness and compliance with regulations like FAR/DFAR. It involves managing relationships with manufacturers and distributors, optimizing costs, and mitigating supply risks in the microelectronics market.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create and implement comprehensive commodity strategies for electronic components to support RTX’s growth objectives.
  2. Optimize productivity by leveraging business unit spend and driving enterprise-wide economies of scale.
  3. Establish robust supply assurance strategies to mitigate risks and maintain continuity of supply in a dynamic market environment.
  4. Foster strategic relationships with key component manufacturers and distribution partners to ensure security of supply and support long-term business goals.
  5. Collaborate with suppliers to align capabilities, capacity, and performance with RTX objectives and compliance requirements.

Skills

Required

  • University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in developing and executing electronics commodity strategies, with a focus on the global semiconductor market.
  • Understanding of defense industry regulations, including FAR/DFAR compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiations, agreement documentation, and contract management.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic products and go-to-market strategies.

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in the global semiconductor market, with knowledge of market trends and dynamics.
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk management and mitigation strategies.
