Electronics Engineer / Principal Electronics Engineer responsible for the research, design, development, integration, and testing of electronic systems, including RF datalinks, SATCOM, and Communications Networks. The role involves maintaining complex RF communications architectures and acting as the primary responsible engineer for communications subsystems, requiring supplier technical interface and integration support. Requires a Secret clearance and experience with airborne or ground platform integration.

What you'd actually do

  1. Research, design, development, integration, and test of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including RF datalinks, SATCOM and Communications Networks.
  2. Maintaining complex RF communications architectures, systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers.
  3. Reporting comms status to Program Managers and IPT Management.
  4. Primary Responsible Engineer for complex communications subsystem, supplier technical interface, and focal IPT representative for integration support.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
  • 2 years of related engineering experience (Electronics Engineer) or 5 years (Principal Electronics Engineer)
  • Airborne or Ground platform integration experience
  • Ability to transfer and maintain U.S. government Secret clearance

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a STEM discipline
  • PhD in a STEM discipline
  • Active in-scope, DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Strong understanding of networking strategies including TCP/IP & WAN architectures
  • Familiar with current network products and technologies such as routers, firewalls, and switches
  • RF and digital system design & analysis
  • Antenna theory and operation
  • COMMS Wideband and Narrowband integration and testing. Iridium, INMARSAT, Ku, CDL and Starlink
  • Airborne platform radio integration such ARCs.
