Electronics Integration Engineer Digital Level 3 (aht)

Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman · Aerospace · Los Angeles, CA +1 · Engineering Mult-Func

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronics Integration Engineer (Level 03) to design, develop, fabricate, and test electrical harnesses and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for tactical missile systems. The role involves root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, collaboration with other engineering teams, and managing design documentation. Requires a BS degree in engineering, experience with mixed-signal CCAs, and an active Secret Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and develop detailed electrical harness layouts, wire routing, connector specifications, and bill-of-materials for new product projects.
  2. Fabricate prototype harnesses in-house, performing cutting, stripping, crimping, and manual/reflow soldering of wires and terminations.
  3. Assemble, populate, and modify Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), applying soldering techniques (hand solder, wave, reflow) and component placement as required.
  4. Conduct lab-level functional and environmental testing of harnesses and CCAs, including continuity, insulation resistance, voltage/current stress, EMI/EMC, and vibration/shock validation.
  5. Perform root-cause analysis on failed hardware, troubleshoot wiring and board issues, and implement corrective actions to improve design robustness.
