Electronics Technician role focused on fabricating, testing, and troubleshooting electronic components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems. Responsibilities include performing acceptance tests, assisting with manufacturing instructions, troubleshooting systems, integrating hardware, monitoring tests, selecting and calibrating equipment, verifying product configuration, collecting and analyzing electrical performance data, and programming devices. Requires experience with electronics principles and fabrication/test of complex systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Must be capable of adapting to changing assignments and requirements.
  2. Developing, constructing, integrating, and testing Ground Entry Point assemblies, devices, circuits and systems; developing and constructing experimental and prototype devices, models and systems working from very general information; performing repairs and calibrations as necessary
  3. Assisting Manufacturing engineers in creating Manufacturing Work Instructions, processes and operations that assure proper function of product and test equipment per design specifications by working from Manufacturing Work Instructions, general block diagrams, rough outlines of basic circuits, oral instructions, schematics, etc; making necessary calculations to obtain or compare data as required.
  4. Troubleshooting of systems, devices, processes and/or test set-ups to locate and repair defective areas
  5. Performing integration of hardware through debugging, modifying systems; performing maintenance and integration of peripherals and networks

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED with an additional 6 or more years of relevant experience with fabrication and test of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems
  • Must have experience with electronics principles.

Nice to have

  • RF test experience and/or antenna test/range experience
  • Hardware integration of various sizes of components and payloads
  • Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment
  • Experience in Defense Contractor Environments
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement
