Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronics Test Technician for their Sykesville, Maryland team. The role involves applying electronics principles to the fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems. Responsibilities include performing acceptance test procedures, selecting and operating test equipment, verifying product and test configurations, collecting and analyzing electrical performance data, programming and verifying devices, troubleshooting systems, assisting engineers in design and development, and performing integration of software and hardware. The position requires a Secret Security Clearance and experience with electronics principles. RF test and antenna test experience are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Determining the methods and techniques for effectively monitoring various tests and measuring electrical performance on complex systems
  2. Selection, set up, calibration and operation of complex and special equipment and facilities over a broad spectrum of technologies.
  3. Verification and validation of product and paperwork configuration, test processes and test equipment/setup configuration and calibration
  4. Measuring, collecting and recording of electrical performance data including analysis and evaluation of the data, experimental models, resultant data, etc. that verifies the reliability and validity of the desired function, preparing accurate and complete test reports of all recorded data
  5. Troubleshooting of systems, devices, processes and/or test set-ups to locate and repair defective areas

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with fabrication and test of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems
  • Experience with electronics principles
  • Current active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • RF test experience
  • antenna test/range experience
  • Test development experience in a nearfield antenna range
  • Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment
