Embedded Memory Qualification Software Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking an Embedded Memory Qualification Software Engineer to qualify alternative memory solutions for their products. The role involves deploying memory AC timing in Vbios, fine-tuning memory interfaces, validating memory sub-systems, and creating software tools for log processing and database setup. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering, knowledge of high-speed signal design, basic power design, proficiency in circuit simulation, programming ability, and 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Deploy memory AC timing in Vbios
  2. Fine tune memory interface for different type of Graphic memories and vendors
  3. Validate the solution of memory sub-system is good with margin and no concern on stability.
  4. P-rel with qualified alt memory and roll in for production
  5. Create software tools to precess log files or setup database

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering or Micro Electronics (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledgeable in high speed signal design rules and basic power design methodologies
  • Proficiency in digital/analog circuit simulation and fault diagnosis
  • Have exposure experience with programming ability
  • Passion for LPDDRx memory design/validation and strong problem-solving skills
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Strong oral and written in English
  • 3+ years work experience in semiconductor or electron industry

Nice to have

  • Extraordinary programming skills, especially on C/C++, python, Linux shell or Perl is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with LPDDRx memory technology
  • Prior hardware design experience (or internships) related to high speed subsystem design, memory controller design, High-speed IO protocols, on-chip interconnect would be much appreciated
  • Power or thermal knowledge
