Boeing is seeking Employee Development Specialists to join their Foundational Training Center team in Renton, WA. The role involves conducting learning requirements analysis, delivering content, assessing effectiveness, coaching, and instructing in aerospace skills. Responsibilities include facilitating learning events, customizing training programs, emphasizing safety, maintaining a positive learning environment, performing assessments, and conducting Train-the-Trainer sessions. Senior specialists will lead projects, monitor business objectives, coach junior instructors, and serve as SMEs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct learning requirements analysis and establish learning objectives
  2. Deliver content and assess effectiveness based on learning objectives
  3. Conduct coaching sessions to improve individual or group performance
  4. Perform as an instructor in a specialized content area from one or more of the following areas of Aerospace Skills expertise: Electrical, Structural, Seal, Quality, Systems, etc.
  5. Facilitate learning events and knowledge transfer by teaching and team coaching, observing and tracking student performance, adding key insights to enhance the delivery, conduct preparation, delivery and rostering of training to satisfy training requirement

What the JD emphasized

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
  • Experience in coaching, instructing or as an employee development specialist
  • Experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience designing and employing leadership development courseware and/or curriculum
  • Experience with Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Seal, Systems, etc.
  • Experience as a mechanic working with structural, mechanical, electrical, or other systems
  • Experience in the following areas: Electrician/Structure/Wing/Spar Assembly, Needs Assessment and Job Analysis
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
