Employee Relations Lead

This role is for an Employee Relations Lead at Pinterest. The primary responsibilities involve managing and conducting employee relations investigations, developing investigation procedures, and identifying trends. The role is expected to use AI tools to streamline investigations, identify insights, and automate documentation, but the core function is not AI development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be an owner of the employee relations investigations process, including conducting and managing all aspects of employee relations investigations into alleged misconduct, working closely with fellow team members and cross-functional partners, including employment law, compliance, human resources, IT etc
  2. Draft investigation plans, conduct interviews, review evidentiary documentation, and complete analysis and investigation reports
  3. Advise on and make recommendations for investigation outcomes and follow-up actions
  4. Be on the cutting edge of technology and incorporate AI tools to streamline investigations and identify actionable insights.
  5. Develop and enhance investigation related procedures and trainings to reflect industry best practices

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Experience conducting complex and sensitive investigations for 5+ years
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • strong and clear verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-business teams at all levels of the organization to achieve results
  • Growth mindset and adaptability—embraces new tech and process improvements
  • Experience using AI tools for faster trend recognition and data analysis in ER cases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize and manage a high-volume workload while working independently, with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
