This role is for an Employee Relations Manager in the HR Planning department at Pfizer, Japan. What you'd actually do

  1. Plan and implement HR strategies to foster a performance culture that supports business growth and the realization of the corporate mission.
  2. Oversee the appropriate management and operation of labor agreements, work rules, and other regulations to strengthen legal compliance and labor governance, contributing to the maintenance and development of a positive and constructive workplace environment.
  3. Manage outsourced operations for the employment management desk, leading improvements in operational quality and processes to provide efficient and reliable HR services.
  4. Actively participate in cross-departmental projects and global initiatives in the HR domain, contributing to strengthening collaboration with related departments, driving project progress, and ensuring governance.

Skills

Required

  • Deep knowledge of labor laws, labor unions/relations, HR regulations, employee codes of conduct, global policies, and internal SOPs
  • HR data analysis and improvement proposal skills
  • Project management/PMO: Planning, progress, and risk management for cross-departmental projects, leading coordination with diverse stakeholders including global ones
  • Change management: Smoothly implement policy/rule revisions and operational reforms, integrally promoting impact analysis, stakeholder coordination, and internal communication
  • Communication/Negotiation: Advanced interpersonal skills to coordinate with labor unions, senior management, and global PX
  • Documentation: Ability to accurately create work rules, labor agreements, SOPs, and present policies and materials
  • Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC: 800+)

Nice to have

  • Experience in HR system planning, labor relations, C&B, or HRBP with over 3 years of practical experience
  • Experience collaborating with labor unions, external vendors, and in operational standardization or improvement
  • Experience participating in cross-departmental projects or global initiatives
