Experienced Employment Law Counsel with expertise in labor and employment law to provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of labor and employment-related issues in Germany and other EMEA territories.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide expert, practical legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of global labor law and employment-related issues such as hiring, performance management, terminations, benefits.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, severance agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other employment-related contracts and documents.
  3. Develop, draft and implement company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  4. Advise on employee disciplinary actions, investigations, and grievances, ensuring timely responses and fair, consistent treatment of employees.
  5. Collaborate with HR to address employee relations issues, mitigate risks, and support cross-functional projects.

Skills

Required

  • Licensed attorney in Germany
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an internal legal counsel in a high-tech/technology company, with a focus on labor and employment law
  • Strong knowledge of labor and employment law
  • Practical legal experience in an international business context
  • Experience handling litigation related to employment matters
  • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions
  • Experience advising on employment matters in international markets, particularly in the EMEA region
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a hyper-growth environment
