End of Line Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician for autonomous surface vessels, focusing on end-of-line testing, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems before delivery to the DoD.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform end-of-line mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and validation of mechanical systems for autonomous surface vessels.
  2. Conduct final checks and diagnostics on critical mechanical components, including propulsion systems, drive shafts, motors, actuators, and structural assemblies.
  3. Use mechanical tools and equipment (e.g., torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, vibration analyzers) to ensure systems are functioning properly.
  4. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical specifications, and assembly instructions to assess and troubleshoot systems.
  5. Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve mechanical issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in a mechanical technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, assembly processes, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Proficiency with mechanical testing tools (e.g., torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, vibration analyzers)
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, testing, and maintenance of complex systems
  • Familiarity with industry standards for mechanical safety and compliance (e.g., ASME, MIL-STD)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to producing high-quality mechanical systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
