MongoDB is seeking an Engagement Manager in Seoul, a quota-carrying Professional Services Sales role focused on scoping, negotiating, and closing Professional Services opportunities to accelerate customer adoption of MongoDB technologies. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success, managing the Professional Services pipeline, articulating business value, and working with practice and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Professional Services sales or technology solutions at an enterprise software company, with general knowledge of databases and software architecture.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand customers’ overall portfolio of applications and datasets, IT and business priorities and success measures to adapt, develop and design specific digital transformation approaches involving MongoDB technologies
  2. Help transform companies by translating their use-cases, pains, and needs into scoped projects and statements of work
  3. Partner with a best-in-class sales organization and work effectively as a part of a larger team to develop account strategies and plans for the successful adoption, growth, and utilization of MongoDB
  4. Have a solid sense of ownership, driving all deals or technical scopings from inception to closure
  5. Manage the Professional Services pipeline for bookings and revenue forecasts for your region

  • Experience and knowledge of the software development lifecycle and associated development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
  • Knowledge of software architecture including both cloud and on-premise technologies (e.g. AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Openshift)
  • Ability to collaborate as a part of a larger account team to build and execute complex account strategies and sales plays
  • Ability to scope and estimate projects
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to travel for key engagements and team offsites
