Oracle is seeking a Solutions Engineer for their MySQL HeatWave product. The role involves supporting customers and internal teams in understanding technical challenges and designing solutions using MySQL HeatWave services on Oracle Cloud. Responsibilities include assisting with proof-of-concepts, benchmarks, creating repeatable cloud solutions, delivering technical workshops, and collaborating with senior team members. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, over 2 years of experience with scripting/programming languages and databases, and an interest in cloud technologies and database performance. Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude are essential. Bonus points for cloud platform experience, containerization familiarity, and data analytics exposure.

What you'd actually do

  1. Apoiar a prova de conceitos, benchmarks ou avaliações técnicas com orientação de engenheiros seniores.
  2. Auxiliando na criação e documentação de soluções de nuvem repetíveis.
  3. Entrega ou co-Entrega de oficinas técnicas práticas.
  4. Colaborando com membros seniores da equipe para construir soluções focadas na indústria.
  5. Ajudando com relatórios sobre atividades comerciais e projetos de clientes.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree
  • 2+ years of experience with at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#)
  • 2+ years of experience with at least one database system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Interest in learning cloud technologies and database performance
  • Good communication skills, willingness to present and collaborate
  • Self-starter attitude with strong organizational skills and curiosity to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to travel (up to 30-50%)

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with any Cloud platform (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with container deployments or cloud-native basics
  • Exposure to analytics, data science, or reporting tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish
  • Experience in academic or professional projects involving teamwork and technical problem-solving
