Engine Management Operations Specialist

This role supports engine configuration accuracy and delivery execution for Boeing's narrowbody aircraft production. It involves collaborating with various teams and OEMs to ensure engines are correctly built, installed, tested, and documented, while maintaining regulatory compliance and resolving customer issues.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support installation readiness and resolve build/installation discrepancies that could impact production flow or delivery milestones
  2. Ensure accurate engine configuration records (build packages, modification status, LLPs, serialized-part traceability, and Airworthiness Directives) to maintain regulatory compliance
  3. Serve as propulsion SME for pre-delivery activities (engine runs, flight ops, compliance and borescope inspections) to resolve issues before FAA/customer acceptance
  4. Provide technical support for engine nonconformances, discrepancies, and build issues to Liaison/Propulsion Engineering teams
  5. Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to address quality concerns, part shortages, and technical inquiries; review performance data and escalate production-impacting issues

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in engine operations, propulsion systems, manufacturing support, or related aerospace/aviation fields
  • 5+ years of experience working with gas turbine engine systems, assembly processes, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • 5+ years of experience interpreting technical drawings, build records, service manuals, and configuration documents
  • 5+ experience negotiating and resolving customer concerns

Nice to have

  • 9+ years of experience in engine operations, propulsion systems, manufacturing support, or related aerospace/aviation fields
  • 9+ years of experience working with gas turbine engine systems, assembly processes, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • 9+ years of experience interpreting technical drawings, build records, service manuals, and configuration documents
  • 9+ Experience negotiating and resolving customer concerns
  • 5+ years of experience in an aircraft production or final assembly environment
  • 5+ years of experience with Boeing systems (CMES, REDARS, PDM, Velocity and configuration management tools)
  • Understanding of FAA/EASA type certification, conformity, airworthiness release process and delivery documentation requirements
  • Experience coordinating with engine OEMs (GE, CFM, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce)
  • Experience problem solving and working in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Lean or Six Sigma training
