Engineer Digital FPGA (Level 2) at Northrop Grumman responsible for the design, integration, and testing of digital FPGA and PCB hardware for space flight programs. This role involves architecture design, detailed design, customer briefings, and hardware testing of flight electronics test systems and ground-based hardware.

What you'd actually do

  1. FPGA and PCB: architecture design, detailed design, performing customer briefings/reviews, and hardware test.
  2. perform designs in a team environment with other engineering functions, including Ground Hardware Engineering, Flight Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, Product Engineering, Software Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Program Management to meet schedule and technical requirements.
  3. Detailed Digital analysis at the component level
  4. FPGA design, functional simulation, and test vector creation
  5. PCB/CCA design, development, test, and integration

Skills

Required

  • STEM Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of hardware engineering experience; OR a STEM Master's Degree with 0+ years of hardware engineering experience
  • Demonstrated hardware testing experience at either the board, unit, or subsystem level
  • Experience in an electronic test environment that verifies specification requirements
  • Previous experience as an electrical engineering hardware designer

Nice to have

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or STEM Degree
  • Experience presenting to technical leadership
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivery of ground system hardware
  • Experience in analog, RF, or digital test set development and testing
  • Experience with ground antenna subsystems
  • Experience with hardware installs at a customer site
