Your Responsibilities
As an** Electrical Design Engineer** for the** John Deere Construction & Forestry division**, located in** Dubuque**,** IA**, you will be responsible for harness and electrical component design for all current production crawler dozers and crawler loaders. Specifically, you will:
- Work with suppliers, supporting the development of new or improved electrical components.
- Lead projects to improve cost, reliability, and quality of harnesses and electrical components
- Implement & document design changes in PDM system.
- Perform warranty and root cause analysis.
- Assist the assembly line in troubleshooting electrical issues as needed.

What Skills You Need
- Ability to read electrical schematics, use a multimeter, and diagnose electrical problems.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with vehicle electrical systems.
- Experience with 3D modeling tools (such as: Pro/E, Solidworks, AutoCAD)
- Experience with 3D Modeling tools for harness routing like ProE-ProCable or MentorGraphics, Capitol Harness.
- Experience working with electrical suppliers.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
