Design Engineer role with technical and functional ownership of part families in the Structural and Applications Group. Responsible for execution of AoS, NPI, cost reduction, and quality for engine platforms. Involves creating new designs, resolving manufacturing issues, adopting new technologies (automation, robotics), improving engineering procedures, and collaborating with functional areas. Requires advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Macros in Excel) and preferred experience with Creo and Teamcenter. Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

What you'd actually do

  1. Creating new designs and resolves issues regarding the manufacturing or building sequences. Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
  2. Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
  3. Planning and improving engineering procedures and operations to make the product or process more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.
  4. Collaborating with all functional areas, (marketing, purchasing, manufacturing) to provide a design solution that meets the requirements of the customer and dealer network.

Skills

Required

  • Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft office suite (including Macros experience in Excel)

Nice to have

  • Creo and Teamcenter experience
