Engineer I, Data Scientist - New Grad (hybrid)

CrowdStrike is seeking a new graduate Engineer I, Data Scientist to join their NGSIEM Agentic AI team. The role involves building intelligent systems for security data analysis at scale, contributing to machine learning models, ranking, and retrieval systems. Responsibilities include developing and deploying models, applying ML/AI to improve product capabilities, working on GenAI/LLM projects like fine-tuning and embedding-based search, and writing production-ready code. Requires an advanced degree in a quantitative field, strong ML/data science foundation, and hands-on experience with GenAI applications, LLMs, agentic AI, and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.

What you'd actually do

Skills

Required

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, AI).
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, or data science
  • Hands-on school or internship experience with: building GenAI-focused application and applying LLMs and agentic AI (e.g., agents, reasoning workflows, or RAG)
  • Have personally implemented models in common Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and tools such as scikit-learn, and forecasting libraries.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, Machine Learning Concepts
  • Experience with Go, Python and common data science tools through coursework, research, internships, or personal projects
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and build data-driven solutions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical ideas clearly
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code
  • Strong attention to detail and curiosity about security problems
  • Can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
