XIOT Security Product Group is focussed on developing products and solutions for ICS/ OT and other IOT verticals like Healthcare. The charter for the team is by using CrowdStrike’s platform capabilities and threat intelligence, build products and integrate with partner products and platforms to establish ourselves as the#1 EDR vendor in this space.CrowdStrike leverages its Threat Graph and AI capabilities to correlate IOT activity with broader enterprise threats, providing context that siloed OT/IOT tools typically lack.

About the Role:
This is a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) position in the XIOT Security product group. This role focuses on development of automation framework and scripts, tools, harnesses, and specialized tests for end-to-end and customer scenarios testing of the products from sensor to cloud to UI. This role requires thinking strategically on how the products would be deployed in IOT/ ICS/ Healthcare environments and accordingly define the test strategy and methodology. SDETs may also participate actively in design and code reviews, and collaborate with the cloud and UI teams to assure end-to-end system functionality. They may also work with customers and product management to understand use cases and end to end scenarios.

What You’ll Need:
- Designing, developing and supporting required effective and reusable test automation framework, scripts, tools and test setup for the development team for XIOT PG to use for developing tests effectively; the goal is to minimize manual testing and reuse frameworks that exist
- Identify and write tests across platforms such as majorly Windows and less Linux to ensure the quality of the system as a whole – focusing on end-to-end test/ customer scenarios inclusive of API and UI automation as it pertains to the IOT/ICS domain.
- Define Test strategy, methodology and develop required tooling for internal teams, third party test team, lab testing and certification process with manufacturer.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to control risk, improve quality, and streamline XIOT product release cycles
- Work with customers and product management to understand end to end product use cases.
Requirements for the candidate:
- Efficient in defining test scope, strategy and methodology for end point products
- Relevant test automation experience level 4+ years.
- Proven experience in test planning, test case designing, test execution and test automation to ensure great product quality
- Hands on experience on writing quality code in any scripting or programming language. Having knowledge on Go lang is a plus.
- Designing, developing and supporting required effective and reusable test automation tools, test setup and scripts for the development team for XIOT PG to use for developing tests effectively; the goal is to minimize manual testing and reuse frameworks that exist.
- Good to have: debugging skills using logs, ability to spot design flaws, race conditions and performance bottlenecks in complex architectures.
- Good to have: prior work experience on IOT domain is big plus
- Experience with or strong interest in leveraging GenAI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate the software development lifecycle, including an understanding of "Human-in-the-Loop" principles
- Familiarity with or eagerness to learn AI agent orchestration patterns for designing workflows that automate multi-step development tasks (e.g., planning, architecture design, coding, testing)
